Description As a Welder at our bottling plant, you will play a pivotal role in producing high-quality equipment used in sanitation applications. You will utilize your expertise in welding and fabrication techniques to ensure that our products meet the rigorous standards required for durability and functionality in sanitation environments. Salary is from $40-$43 per hour based on experience Position RequirementsKey Responsibilities:
Welding and Fabrication: - Utilize various welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and arc welding to weld metal components according to engineering specifications.
- Fabricate and assemble parts and structures used in sanitation equipment, ensuring precision and adherence to quality standards.
Reading Blueprints: - Interpret and work from engineering drawings and blueprints to understand the specific requirements for each component or assembly.
- Translate blueprints into finished products while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Quality Control: - Conduct thorough inspections of welded joints to verify compliance with quality standards, including strength, dimensions, and appearance.
- Make necessary adjustments to welding processes to achieve desired outcomes and ensure product integrity.
Safety: - Adhere strictly to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Identify and report potential hazards or safety concerns related to welding activities.
Maintenance: - Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Keep work area clean and organized to facilitate efficient workflow and safe working conditions.
Collaboration: - Work closely with engineers, designers, and manufacturing personnel to troubleshoot issues and optimize production processes.
- Provide input and feedback on design modifications or improvements based on practical welding experience.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Welder in a manufacturing or industrial setting, preferably with exposure to sanitation equipment or similar industries.
- Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and arc welding techniques, with a strong understanding of metal properties and welding processes.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of welding safety precautions and practices.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
