Summary: Reporting to the Door Line Supervisor, the Manufacturing Production Welder will be primarily responsible for welding and assembling metal pieces and products by using handheld welding equipment. Sets up parts for welding; uses hand tools, clamps, jigs, and fixtures. Works from specifications, drawings, and weld symbols. Prepares and completes work on materials by welding, cutting, grinding, and cleaning metal. The employee will take direction from supervisors and experienced production associates to perform multiple tasks in a manufacturing environment. Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work effectively to meet or exceed productivity goals while maintaining high quality standards
- Welds IAW Standards AWS D1.1, D1.2, D1.6
- Inspect products for defects to ensure quality standards are met.
- Reads, assembles, and welds from fabrication drawings.
- Actively follow all safety and health standards to keep workspace accident-free, identify and communicate any safety risks or concerns.
- Communicating regularly with the Door Line Supervisor and experienced production team members
- Other duties as assigned

Physical Environment: Functions in a live production environment most of the time. Work requires the ability to walk the production floor and other areas of the manufacturing facility and stand for up to 10 hrs per day. Frequent lifting, twisting, and bending are requirements of this position. Repetitive movement will be required at times. Position requires good physical fitness and an understanding of appropriate lifting techniques and tool safety. May need to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion. Excellent vision skills (with or without correction) are required. The environment has moderate noise levels associated with equipment, production machines, and construction equipment.
