JOB SUMMARY:
To ensure that product processed with manual MIG welds that meet the specifications of the
customer.
Qualifications:
• High School education or equivalent.
• Able to pass K&S manual weld test
• 2-3 years welding / working experience in a manufacturing environment desired.
• Strong industrial math skills and attention to details.
• Ability to learn tasks, and follow directions, including use of measurement equipment.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
• Regular and predictable attendance required.
• Fluent reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Successful completion of Pre-Employment physical.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Class C Operator
• Weld components with spot welder.
• Setup and weld simple parts and assemblies using fixtures.
• Chip or grind off excess weld, slag, or spatter, using hand scrapers or hand grinders.
• Review shop orders, blueprints, and inspection records to determine process requirements.
• Examine and measure product to verify conformance to specifications using measurement
equipment as specified on inspection records.
• Comply with policies, processes, and systems of the ISO quality management system.
• Support the commitment to a safe work environment as stated in the safety vision and the safety
manual.
Class B Operator
• Perform duties listed above under class C operator.
• Setup and weld medium to complex weld assemblies.
• Weld components in flat or vertical positions, with or without fixtures.
Class A Operator
• Perform duties listed above under class B and C operator.
• Assist Manufacturing Engineers with weld fixtures designs.
• Assist in training new employees.
