LLC, an Illinois Tool Works affiliate, focused on creating customer success with robotic and automated welding solutions. We design and manufacture a full line of automation equipment and serve a broad range of industry segments, from Heavy Equipment and Agriculture to Automotive and Aerospace.This role is critical to developing customer-focused welding solutions and supporting our automation sales team. Together, we'll continue to redefine excellence in the welding industry while delivering substantial value to our customers.QualificationsMinimum Education and Experience:BS in Welding Engineering, Welding Engineering Technology, and other engineering/technical degrees considered with appropriate welding industry experience.2+ years of experience in welding automation or a related field, solid understanding of welding equipment, power sources (Miller, Panasonic, etc.), and offline robotic programming.Familiar with communication and protocols between welding systems, robotic systems, and process supervision.What you need to do to be successful in this role:Experience in customer support or technical sales is a plus, as well as strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach.High personal confidence and ability to be assertive. Can be direct as well as diplomatic.Candidate must be a self-starter and a team player with good planning and multitasking organizational skills.Demonstrates honesty, keeps commitments, and behaves consistently.Additional InformationCompensation:Salary Range: The Welding Engineer - Automation compensation package offers a competitive base salary annually. This range is dependent on the geographic location, the successful candidate's qualification, and prior experience.
