Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Welding Inspector at Industrial Inspection & Services, LLC in Portland, OR area. The Welding Inspector will be responsible for conducting quality control, welding inspections, quality assurance, and inspections related to welding and structural projects. Day-to-day tasks include ensuring compliance with industry regulations, inspecting welding processes, and maintaining quality standards.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid AWS QC1 CWI Certificate
• Level II NDT training and qualifications for UT shear wave. MT and PT qualifications are a plus.
• Knowledge of welding processes
• Experience in steel fabrication using AWS D1.1. D1.5, D1.2, and D1.6 codes
• A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance
• Excellence in customer communication and basic computer skills
• Quality Control, Quality Assurance, and Inspection skills
• Welding Inspection and Welding skills
• Knowledge of AWS D1.1, D1.2, D1.5, D1.6, ASME, ABS, AISC, API, & USACE
• Experience with ASNT SNT-TC-1A and ANSI/ASNT CP-189 for MT, PT, UT, and VT
• Ability to interpret PQRs, WPSs, and welding plans
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
