Job Title: Welding SupervisorJob DescriptionResponsible for supervising a team of welders who will weld various types of weld preparation, welding, and weld finishing operations to manufacture product to customer drawings, specifications, or other forms of instruction. Utilize welding equipment to make repairs to discontinuities of submerged arc weld seams on steel pipe.Responsibilities
  • Supervise a team of welders in various types of weld preparation, welding, and weld finishing operations.
  • Ensure products are manufactured to customer drawings, specifications, or other forms of instruction.
  • Utilize welding equipment to repair discontinuities of submerged arc weld seams on steel pipe.
  • Perform process inspection, certification, and documentation.
  • Maintain welding equipment and ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Finish grinding applications using manual and power tools.
  • Utilize various hand tools and equipment.
  • Use mobile device applications and programs for work-related tasks.
  • Maintain safety and housekeeping standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the direct supervisor.
Essential Skills
  • 3 years experience as a welding supervisor.
  • Proficient in assigned welding techniques.
  • Working knowledge of fixtures and weld set-up parameters (amps, volts, etc.).
  • Experience with conventional and precision measuring instruments.
  • Ability to perform process inspection, certification, and documentation.
  • Experience with welding equipment maintenance.
  • Experience with finish grinding applications using manual and power tools.
  • Ability to utilize various hand tools and equipment.
  • Ability to utilize mobile device applications and programs.
  • Adherence to safety and housekeeping standards.
  • Successful completion of an internal welding test.
  • One-year experience in various forms of welding.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Welding (1 year) preferred.
  • Must be able to work in changing ambient temperatures.
  • Must be able to work on your feet for extended periods of time.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Steel toe boots and sleeved shirts & welding hood required (employee's responsibility).
  • Hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, protective gloves provided by the company.
