Tomorrow RNG is looking for a strong leader and experienced operations leader. As a pivotal member of the TRNG leadership team, the Leader will guide, coordinate, and oversee operations throughout the Landfill Operations of TRNG. The emphasis is on formulating and executing streamlined operations, gas collection, and field expansions, all while maintaining superior customer service standards. The TRNG Leader is responsible for the overall management of collecting the landfill gas and delivering it to the processing plants within the TRNG portfolio of assets, so that TRNG can deliver reliable Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) to the market. They will be leading a management team to ensure employees deliver the goals and objectives of Tomorrow RNG with responsibilities for safety, compliance, effective, and reliable operations.
Job Duties:
- Define, execute, and communicate the strategic vision for the wellfield operations team.
- Lead and nurture a proficient team, cultivating a culture rooted in collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Cultivate lasting client relationships, discerning their needs and proactively navigating challenges to strengthen successful collaborations.
- Collaborate closely with TRNG leadership team, providing insights and direction on wellfield projects and gas collection enhancements.
- Advocate for and implement innovative processes, technologies, and systems to enhance wellfield efficiency and resource management.
- Oversee and validate financial reports, estimates, and staffing needs for various initiatives.
- Efficiently manage the Wellfield budget and monitor/analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas of improvement and implement data-driven strategies.
- Stay informed about emerging trends in the RNG and LFGS industry.
- Identify and address training needs, ensuring relevant developmental initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to relevant regulations, licenses, and industry standards, with a focus on upholding top-tier safety benchmarks.
- Lead the construction and operations of Landfill Gas wellfields across TRNGs portfolio of assets.
- Ensure communications are maintained with the local landfill staff.
- Work independently without direct supervision to ensure wellfield are optimized while maintaining compliance.
- Develop SOPs and reporting to ensure consistency across TRNG.
- Ensure timely and professional communications with all stakeholders regarding outages, system impacts and safety incidents.
- Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with the landfill staff and ensure communications are correct and timely.
- Build business cases to optimize the assets, including a cost/benefit analysis.
- Support Engineering staff with planning of construction projects and gas collection field expansions.
- Develop and implement projects, process control improvements and design to optimize production and maximize production volumes to increase input to the plants.
- Present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and industry events.
- Support plant operational support requests.
- Undertake other relevant duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in engineering, technical field, business, operations management or vocational school and 5 years of equivalent experience in the renewables gas, electric generation, or energy industry.
- Minimum of seven (7) years progressive and relevant experience in energy operations management preferably in the organics to energy business.
- Proven leadership skills to liaise with industry partners, regulatory agencies, other external stakeholders.
- Leadership experience managing people with collaborative working style.
- Requires travel to job sites and out of the local area overnight stays.
Preferred Requirements:
- Strong financial acumen for budgeting, forecasting, and decision making.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and business relationships.
- Strong team player that thrives in a fast-paced environment. Must be a self-starter that can operate independently.
- Experience in Gas Processing and LFG is preferred.
- Legitimate authorization to work in the U.S.
- Demonstrated knowledge of guiding teams in wellfield upgrades and maintenance activities
- Comprehensive knowledge of RNG and Gas Processing industry best practices and methodologies.
