Summary The Omega Wellness Center is Omega's campus 'spa', offering a variety of services (over 45) such as massage, shiatsu, reflexology, energy work, facials, shamanic healing, intuitive guidance, and astrology readings. We are a high volume center and require a staff that can handle a fast paced work environment - answering questions with confidence and skill, while doing so with grace and enthusiasm so that our guests feel cared for and nurtured along the way. Our goal is to ensure the highest quality of customer care. This goal is met when staff:
  • Acknowledge, greet and welcome guests; assisting them with their inquiries while being helpful and courteous at all times
  • Anticipate and address guests' questions and concerns, using clear and precise communication
  • Approach all encounters in a friendly, warm, and professional manner
  • Show a willingness to find the answers if they do not know them
  • Are understanding and patient with guests and co-workers
  • Notify Manager to any guest or Provider concerns as soon as they occur
Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.The Wellness Concierge helps set the tone for a guests Wellness experience and are the first exchange someone has with us. Their role is to address reservations and act as a consultant and 'expert' trained on the following:
  • 45 services, along with any Featured Services on promotion
  • The skill set of 50+ providers
  • Optimal booking times for each guest type
  • All special workshop schedules, campus events, daily open classes, meal times, etc.
  • Wellness policy and procedure (conveying/upholding our cancellation policy along with review of our confirmation, which details date/time/service/duration/location)
  • How to promote multiple bookings to our guests to ensure a richer and more memorable experience
  • How to handle guest complaints, guest no-shows and general guest concerns
  • How to navigate the Cenium booking software, credit card machines and phones with ease and proficiency
  • Processing all point of sale (POS) transactions (services and upgrades, tips and retail)
Their daily role is to:
  • Greet guests: share information on our services, hours of operation and campus events
  • Actively promote services and products and address questions that may arise from guest
  • Check in guests: read guest notes at start of shift, prepare forms in advance, process payments (no longer 'in advance' as previously noted) (charge credit card and procure signature, process annex location sales)
  • Call/e-mail guest no-shows and alert of charges, receive and note complaints, answer general questions
  • Maintain facility: clean daily, stock and restock treatment rooms (including annex), maintain ongoing cleanliness throughout. At closing pull trash, recycle and linens
  • Receive, fold and stock linens (2 times/week), launder in-house items, run errands, make copies of intake forms, deliver notes to guests/providers
  • Other duties as required by supervisor
Other expectations
  • Maintain a friendly and professional attitude at all times while working successfully in a high paced, demanding environment
  • Communicate often and thoroughly with entire team about guest, provider or operational concerns
  • Monitor wellness email throughout shift and respond in a timely and precise manner
  • Maintain the confidentiality of our guests, and the wellness providers
  • Notify manager of any concerns: guests, providers, facilities, operations ASAP
  • Lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects as needed. Some items (linen bags) can be heavy
  • Ensure personal appearance is clean and professional
Qualifications
  • Strong computer skills - proficient in excel and word and ability to learn complex software systems (mathematically and database capable)
  • Excellent communication skills - those beyond the basics of listening and speaking
  • A fast learner, detail-oriented, flexible able to multi-task and at high speed
  • Ability to utilize software and phones with skill and proficiency
  • Customer service and customer experience driven
  • Organized and strategic with an ability to resolve matters quickly
  • Possess a friendly and outgoing personality, enjoy working with others
  • Ability to multi-task on many levels and at high speed
  • Comfortable with cleaning tasks such as taking out trash, vacuuming, and other general cleaning
Physical Requirements
  • Frequently move items that weigh 30-50 pounds for various needs
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
  • Must be able to traverse a hilly campus in diverse weather conditions
  • Must be able to position self to perform diverse job tasks as necessary
  • The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • The ability to observe details at close range
Compensation Non-residential seasonal staff work full-time or part-time, from May through October. They receive a compensation package that includes:
  • Hourly wage (this varies by position and is at minimum above New York State minimum wage).
