About the OpportunityThe Wellness Coordinator supports the community, and the Wellness Director by providing clerical, administrative, planning and organization responsibilities, as they pertain primarily to the nursing and care staff and to residents.
Essential Job Functions- Demonstrates the ability to assess the full scope of resident needs on a continuous basis.
- Provides a safe environment for residents, visitors, and employees through identifying, correcting, and reporting health and safety hazards.
- Demonstrates skill in interpersonal relationships with residents, visitors and staff.
- Demonstrates effective oral and written communications methods
- Assists the Wellness Director in the planning, organizing, directing, implementing, and evaluating of care and activities of the assigned care unit.
- Communicates with medical professionals, schedules doctor appointments, and organizes transportation.
- Maintains records and ensures compliance with regulations regarding TB testing and other employee requirements
- Assists with staffing of caregivers
