We are looking for a Wellness Trainer with exceptional interpersonal skills who is adept in fostering a supportive environment for our patients. Under the direction of the Wellness Supervisor, the Wellness Trainer is responsible for helping our patients improve their health through exercise. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Identify the patients' fitness level and health
- Instruct patients on how to effectively use the training equipment and explain applicable safety rules and regulations.
- Assign exercise routines based on patient's physical needs and monitor their progress.
- Modify exercise plans based on needs, potential injuries or health issues
- Motivate the patient to achieve the set fitness goals
- Oversee the use of fitness equipment to ensure patients exercise properly and safely
- Handle nutrition and health-related questions
- Operate Point of Sales system for Fitness Snack Bar
- Report track and forward receipts and cash deposits to finance department
- Carry out First Aid and CPR if needed
- Sanitize and sterilize equipment and training facility
- Follow Safety and hygiene guidelines
Requirements:
- 1 + Years experience as a Fitness Trainer or similar roles
- 1 + Years operating a POS system
- Knowledge of diverse exercises and how to adjust plans according to each patient's needs
- Ability to instruct and motivate people
- Proven experience of CPR and First Aid
- Fitness Instruction Certification in group instruction preferred
- Fitness Instruction Certification in wellness coaching preferred
- If no certification, 2 + years of experience in field is required
- High School Diploma; degree in Kinesiology or Sports Science is a plus
