Wet Chemistry QA Technician Chicago, IL (Midway)Our client manufactures and packages consumer goods, is seeking a wet chemistry, Quality Assurance Technician. This is a full-time position that is located in the Midway neighborhood. Must be okay with occasionally working overtime.Pay Rate: $21.00 Per Hour.We understand that you cannot submit any comments or text with your resume. Facilitates the implementation of the quality program. Responsible for sampling, analysis of raw and packaging materials, intermediate and finished products and the associated recordkeeping.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Samples and inspects incoming packaging materials and performs raw materials, intermediate, and finished good analysis according to standard analytical procedures and customer specifications.Performs basic wet chemistry analysis and operate lab instruments.Sets up production line for upcoming inspection. Performs various checks on production lines as needed.Audit and maintain Quality and Production documentation /records, electronic and hard copy, as needed.Ensures that GMP, Quality, Health and Safety are considered in all aspects of the role.Equipment Used:PC with various software (Microsoft Word and Excel), UV-Vis and IR Spectrophotometer, Titration, PH meter, Hunterlab Colorimeter, Moisture balance, Viscometer, Scales and BalancesRequired Education & Experience:High school diploma with chemistry classes minimum with up to 5 years of relevant experience in a high-speed consumer packaging manufacturing environment. Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or equivalent and two years of related experience preferred.Computer literate must be familiar with Microsoft Excel and WordAbility to lift up to 40 lbs. occasionally. Requires good vison, up close & at distance, Candidates will be required to pass a color vision test.
