Job Description:
EXPERIENCE: Two to five years of experience working in Movex or with bill of materials. EDUCATION: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Basic mathematical and computer aptitude/skills, a strong aptitude for attention to detail, MS Office Suite with emphasis on Excel and Access preferred, good interpersonal, oral and written communication, and organizational skills, good problem solving & decision-making skills, team player. Experience in a manufacturing environment, utilizing anMRP program, preferred. WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Office environment predominately with some exposure to warehouse and production areas. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to walk between plants. Requires use of both hands with occasional repetitive hand movements. Visual acuity required for reading and computer work. Able to lift up to 20 pounds on occasion. EMPLOYEES SUPERVISED:None DEGREE OF SUPERVISION REQUIRED:Minimal CAREER PATH:Growth within the Sales & Marketing Department. Possibility of transfer to other departments within the Company. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: •Defines and manages item configuration and manufacturing bill of materials (BOMs), time estimates for work, steps, process routings, and methods. •Documents all correct processes for item setup, bill of materials set up, routings, and workflow. •Coordinates and ensures completion of all activities related to the implementation of product development changes, ensuring that BOMs and routings are up-to date and optimized to the product development intent. •Assists production in establishing standards, methods, and speed involved in manufacturing and other operations to establish standard production rates and improve efficiency. •Own and implement rolling costs and provide cross-functional communication of cost impact from creation/maintenance of BOM and routings. •Audit or monitor work in progress to ensure conformance to set labor standards. •Coordinate the disposition of non-conforming material and adjust job routings and material requirements accordingly, if rework dispositions are required.
