Our company is looking for a Wheelchair Van Driver to join our team. In this career, you transport passengers to their doctors appointments in a timely and safe manner. You need strong driving skills, a clean driving record, and a valid driver's license. In addition to driving skills and experience, you also need strong communication and customer service skills. Interacting with passengers is a major part of our service, and you must represent our brand in a friendly and helpful manner. Experience working with nursing homes or special needs education programs is also beneficial.

Hiring for both full time and part time positions. Starting hourly pay is $15, after 6 months depending on work performance there can be a possible increase in pay. Must have access to a computer for interview for process, and be able to provide a list of references that can be contacted. This is a drug free workplace, you must be able to perform this job with a clear mind. There is a possibility of a split shift depending on business needs.

This job does requires a lot of physically movement, there will be bending, lifting squatting, kneeling and you will be pushing wheelchairs of patients up to 300 lbs. You must be able to perform this duty without any physical limitations.

Van Driver Duties and Responsibilities

  • Pick up passengers from a set location
  • Drive passengers to their destination
  • Converse with your passengers
  • Perform daily minor vehicle maintenance
  • Keep track of fuel usage
  • Keeping the van clean inside and out
  • Must be able to complete daily documentation that is required

Van Driver Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED certificate
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
  • Valid Drivers License with no gaps within the last 2 years
  • Strong driving skills and a clean record
  • Communication and customer service skills
  • Excellent time-management abilities
  • Valid first aid and CPR certification
  • Must have a 10 year certified driving record
