Runs the expired holds report daily, ensuring all WVLS materials are returned to borrowing libraries in a timely manner. Responsible for ensuring the White Lake Branch collection is current, updating and cycling the collection from the Branch to the Main library every quarter. Responsible for White Lake Library Services - planning, promoting, and executing services and programs for all ages. Sharing library information through strategic, stakeholder, community, and partnership engagement events. Building relationships with and delivering services to the White Lake, Elton, Polar, and Wolf River communities within Langlade County. These services will be provided onsite at the White Lake Branch or out in the community via Home Bound Services or the Antigo Public Library Bookmobile. Maintains accurate records of patron usage of library services, engagement, and outreach.This position is a hybrid position integrating the roles and responsibilities of the circulation clerk and outreach specialist positions. This is position requires a minimum of 30 hours per week. A maximum of 40 hours per week. Hours to-be worked fall within 9:30AM-6PM, Monday through Friday, with the exception of a minimum of one Saturday a month, two Saturdays a month maximum, in lieu of a Friday shift(s). The Saturday shift being 9AM-12PM. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Responsible for opening and closing the White Lake Branch Library.Assists patrons in person, over the phone, and via email regarding circulation and other library-based inquiries.Communicate with Antigo Public Library Director to problem solve and collaborate. Works with IT department and facilities to maintain library services and building operations.Processes courier deliveries to and from WVLS for patron holds. Runs expired Holds report, pulls books, processes them for return via the Courier. Notifies patrons Holds are in via Sierra.Keeps records for all Lost Book transactions and other cash transactions within the White Lake Branch. Delivers any funds to the Antigo Public Library each month.Maintains and runs the White Lake Branch Book Club(s).Maintains monthly statistics regarding Patron usage of the White Lake Branch Library services. Provides the Antigo Public Library Director with a monthly report of services, programs, and statistics in time with the APL Board of Trustees Full Board meeting.Communicates and collaborates with other library personnel in the White Lake Branch Library to solve issues and develop projects.Maintains library public areas in a clean and orderly fashion by sustaining orderly shelves, refilling displays and performing light cleaning and/or organizing tasks.Facilitate library programs for the community for youth, adults and seniors equally.Contributes to a safe and welcoming environment for all.Establish annual goals to develop their personal development as related to their job duties.Maintain good relations with the public and staff.Follow policies and procedures consistently.Attend and participate in meetings, workshops, and conferences as appropriate.Maintain predictable and regular physical attendance.Maintain the ability to travel to and from branch locations within the county.Provide truthful, accurate written and verbal communication.Provide other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or a minimum of three years of Library work experience or equivalent experience.Experience in a library environment in a patron service-related role.Possession of a valid Wisconsin motor vehicle operator's license without record of suspension or revocation in any state. Willingness to drive the APL vehicle, van, or bookmobile to conduct APL business during normal work hours as part of normal work duties.Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as analytical, time-management and problem-solving skills.Excellent project management skills, and willingness to take a leadership role in community engagement activities.Flexibility and adaptability, willingness to embrace change and create innovative solutions for approved library programming within the community served.Ability to work independently as well as collectively with colleagues in the library, in the community, and throughout the WVLS consortium.Working knowledge of computers and internet use including but not limited to: Office programs, Google programs, email applications, and other technology needs of APL patrons. Ability to effectively use a multi-line phone, 10-key calculator, fax machine, scanner, and any other tools or equipment available to patrons and staff for use.Candidates are required to pass a background check, physical examination and drug test once job is offered. Background check, physical examination and drug test are paid for by the Antigo Public Library. Until the background check, physical examination and drug test have been conducted and records turned over to the City of Antigo, applicant chosen is not officially hired. Willingness to use APL vehicle including the APL Bookmobile to attend branch, outreach, or training events/activities.This list is not all inclusive and does not guarantee benefits or employment at any given time.Wisconsin Retirement Service: Full-time hourly Library employees are enrolled in the Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS) through the Department of Employee Trust Funds (ETF) on their date of hire into the full-time position. Life Insurance: Life insurance is offered through ETF. New employees are eligible for coverage the first of the month following thirty (30) days after hire. Employees can enroll in up to five (5) units of coverage. Each unit of coverage consists of 1x the employee's annual income rounded to the next higher thousand. An employee may also enroll in spouse/dependent coverage. Health Insurance: Health insurance benefits are provided to employees available in single, limited family, and family plans. Limited family consists of employee plus spouse, or employee plus child(ren). The employee pays 10% of the premium and stop loss and administrative fees. The City pays 90% of the premium. Health insurance may begin on the date of hire. Dental Insurance: Dental insurance is provided to employees available in single, employee plus spouse, employee plus child(ren), or family. The City pays 100% of the premium. Dental insurance may begin on the date of hire. Aflac: The City offers Aflac to employees which is 100% paid for by the employee. Some coverage they offer include dental insurance, short term disability, hospitalization, vision insurance, and cancer coverage, etc. Eligibility for Aflac lies solely with Aflac. Sick Leave: Employees earn one day of sick leave each month and are eligible to use that sick leave once they have been employed for six months. Vacation: Vacation leave is available and is based on years of employment and received on the employee's anniversary date. Holidays/Personal Days: Employees are paid for eight and a half holidays per year along with three personal days and are eligible to receive these once they have been employed for six months. Clothing Allowance: Full-time non-represented library hourly employees may be eligible for up to $100 in approved logo wear each calendar year. The City also offers a section 125 flex program and hosts two different deferred compensation companies through which employees can begin their own plans.
