Warehouse AssociateGreco and Sons, a specialty company of Sysco, seeks a detail-oriented and physically capable Warehouse Associate to join their team.BenefitsCompetitive payOngoing job skills training and leadership developmentCareer growth opportunitiesPaid vacation and holidaysComprehensive healthcare benefitsGenerous retirement benefitsEmployee discount programsReferral BonusTuition ReimbursementSafety programsService recognitions and employee rewardsCross training opportunitiesResponsibilitiesEnsure pallets received meet defined requirementsEnter/scan accurately upon item receipt the LPN, catch-weight, manufacture date, expiration date, etc. into the warehouse management system utilizing RF equipmentInspect product being moved for shortages, damage, quality, or deterioration of packing and report to supervisorRecord all overages, shortages and damages on the OS&D formVerify refrigerated (cooler) and frozen product temperatures are taken according to established PWMsRecord and communicate vendor compliance issues by completing the vendor compliance form during receipt according to established PWMsApply blind LPNs according to established PWMs if manufacturer hasn't provided license platesEnsure proper operation of dock doors, plates, lights and locksMust successfully complete the receiving certification process and testingWork effectively with immediate supervisor to minimize warehouse shrink/damage (product loss)Responsible for the neatness and cleanliness of assigned work areas and travel aisles, and the accuracy of warehouse locationsReport any unfixable/unsafe issues immediately to supervisorObserve and enforce all safety rules to eliminate accidents and injuriesOperate appropriate MHE, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, in a safe and orderly manner to eliminate accidents and injuriesObserve proper lifting techniques and physical work practices in accordance with established PWMsEnsure that MHE is maintained (perform daily inspection) and clean;
