Job DetailsLevelEntryJob LocationLake Raystown Resort - Entriken, PAEducation LevelNot SpecifiedDescriptionWaterpark Lifeguards work under the direct supervision of Tiffany Diehl, Recreation Manager, and must be at least 16 years of age. Must also be available to work most weekends and summer holidays.
- Use your lifeguard skills to the best of your ability to promote waterpark safety and prevent injuries
- Use your lifeguard skills to provide emergency care, when required
- Provide first aid to guests when needed
- Submit accurate and complete documentation of all care provided in a timely manner
- Understand and explain (to guests) ALL WildRiver Waterpark rules, regulations and policies
- Arrive at work on time, clean, and in full uniform
- Assist with daily opening procedures (vacuuming and skimming pools, opening gates, emptying skimmer baskets, weeding, test riding slides, etc.)
- Provide courteous and efficient customer service at all times
- Dispatch riders safely down waterslides, following proper waterpark protocol
- Enforce all water park rules and regulations in a positive, yet assertive manner
- Help pull tube riders through white water
- Assist with daily closing duties (closing gates, collecting trash, scrubbing pools, etc.)
- Learn and follow the WildRiver Waterpark Emergency Action Plan protocol in case of any emergency, and assist with any emergency in a responsible, efficient manner
- Participate in live waterpark safety drills
- Attend and participate in all required staff meetings/trainings, plus four hours of in-service per month
- Notify a supervisor when anything in the waterpark needs attention
- Help keep the break room neat and clean
- Assist with other waterpark maintenance (lawncare, cleaning restrooms, etc.)
Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests' service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation. Speak with others using clear and professional language. Support team to reach common goals. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.QualificationsCandidates must be able to:
- Earn and maintain your Ellis and Associates Pool Lifeguard certification to the standards set by E & A and Lake Raystown Resort
- Have reliable transportation
All staff under 18 must have a worker's permit provided by your local school district.
