Description Position Details:Title: Wind TechnicianLocation: Pasco, WA (can live out of area but must be flexible for travel to support field sites: CO/WV/WA and Pasco shop)Shift: Day shift, typically M - FCompensation: $27 - $32/hr DOEQ (total first year projected compensation with OT and per diem is $80K+)Benefits: Promotional opportunities are available upon skills development and mastery. H&N Wind and Electric, a division of Timken Motor & Crane Services, is currently seeking a Wind Technician for the Pasco, Washington site. The role of the Wind Technician is to troubleshoot and diagnose electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic malfunctions and perform preventative maintenance on wind turbines. This position reports to the Field Service Supervisor.Essential Functions:Perform scheduled maintenance and general service on wind turbinesTroubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issuesPerform some diagnostic electrical analysisAssist in all areas of site operationsSubmit daily time and travel expenses accurately and on-timePerform other skilled and non-skilled job duties as assignedQualifications:Minimum three (3) years of hands-on mechanical experience required; five (5) years preferredThree (3) years of wind technician experience preferredWilling and able to travel 100% of the timeDriver's License and clean driving record required; CDL preferredAble to pass a DOT medical examAbility to understand, perform, and retain various skill-related training on operational and safety proceduresAbility to climb ladders unassisted and work on towers up to 350 feetWork indoors/outdoors in extreme heat/cold for extended periods of timeFrequently handle, move, and/or lift repetitive weight up to 50 lbsSelf-initiative with a focus on quality of work and great customer service
