Windows Imaging Specialist - with a Security+ and Microsoft Certifications

As the Windows Imaging Specialist, the individual plays a crucial role in the IT infrastructure of an organization, focusing on creating, managing, and deploying Windows images for desktops and laptops. In this role, the Windows Imaging Specialist involves a mix of technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and knowledge of specific tools and technologies. In addition, the Windows Imaging Specialist combines technical skills with problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail. They must be able to work independently and as part of a team, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and continuously adapt to new technologies and challenges in the IT environment.
Responsibilities
- Creates, customizes and manages Windows images using Sysprep, Windows Imaging and Configuration Designer (ICD) and Deployment Image Service and Management tool (DISM)
- Secures images vulnerabilities and ensures compliance with organizational security practices
- Deploys and images tasks using ICI/IP, DHCP, DNS and other networking protocols
- Automates repetitive tasks, customizes deployments and troubleshoots using PowerShell, VBScript or batch scripting
- Diagnoses and resolves issues related to imaging and deployment to include hardware compatibility, software conflicts and network problems
- Manges imaging projects to include planning, execution, monitoring and closing project efficiently and on time
- Creates clear and comprehensive documentation for the imaging and deployment process to include custom scripts, image configuration details and troubleshooting guides
- Keeps up to date with latest Window features, deployment technologies and industry best practices
- Performs other tasks as required by OSC and the Government contracting team
Required Qualifications/Education and Experience
- Associate or Bachelor's Degree in computer science
- Must have a minimum of Security+ certification
- Must have Microsoft Certified: Windows Client (previously known as MCSA: Windows 10), Modern Desktop Administrator Associate or Enterprise Administrator Expert
- Must have and maintain Secret clearance
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT, specifically with a focus on operating systems, software deployment, and network administration
- Must have the ability to troubleshoot and solve issues that arise during the imaging and deployment processes
- Attention to Detail to ensure compatibility and functionality across different hardware and software configurations
- Hands-on experience with MS Deployment Toolkit (MDT), Windows Deployment Services (WDS)
- Must have knowledge of PowerShell or VB Script
- Must have hands-on experience with System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
- Experience with Windows operating systems
