Duration: 12 months

Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid remote 3 days onsite)

Other approved locations: Pennington, NJ or Chandler, AZ

Pay Scale: $65-70/hr W2 (Cannot subcontract or C2C)

Job Description:

Matlen Silver is actively recruiting for a Windows Engineer with a DevOps background in automating image creation and configuration management. You will be responsible for managing the Windows infrastructure with a focus on certification of Windows Server 2025, image creation and migration to HashiCorp Packer / Terraform solutions. You will be involved in the planning and deployment of Windows server automation and configuration management solutions using Ansible, as well as responsible for building Windows Server OS components and services utilizing PowerShell development.

Desired Experience:

• Windows Server automation and configuration management experience using Ansible.
• In-depth knowledge of the Windows Server OS components and services as well as PowerShell development experience.
• Should be familiar with Jira, Agile development, and current DevOps tooling including HashiCorp products including Packer and/or Terraform.
• Experience automating cloud deployments or other large scale systems on Azure.
• Experience with VMware vRealize is a nice to have.
