Job Description:
Akima Data Management (ADM), an Akima company, is looking to hire a Windows System Administrator (TS/SCI) to support their client in Washington, DC, to join our team of outstanding professionals, apply today!Responsibilities
  • Develops and maintains training materials and plans
  • Assess and validate classified user requirements for new item requests
  • Research and recommend technical solutions through the IT Change Control Board (CCB)
  • Assesses, recommends, and supports secure communications upgrades and technology refresh for approximately 400+ end-user devices shared by over 1000+ users, as needed
  • Manages user account creation, modification, and deletion within Microsoft Active Directory
  • Creation and issuance of Public Key Infrastructure Smart Cards for classified and unclassified networks
  • Remediates security incidents
  • As part of a team, supports technical surges troubleshooting computing and devices problems
  • Must know standard copper 568B color code, 25 pair color code, as well as fiber 12 strand color code
  • Installation and documentation of cable infrastructure to include: conduit, copper, coax, fiber and all associated elements in the client buildings
  • Must know how to install fiber or copper overhead or underfloor back to patch panel
  • Other duties assigned by Program Manager
Qualifications
  • Associate degree or 5 years equivalent work experience
  • 5 years' experience in a customer support role
  • 3 years' experience developing/maintaining training materials
  • 3 years' experience in each of the following areas:
  • Experience with SVOIP provisioning
  • Excellent knowledge of VTC setup, scheduling, and management
  • 3 - 5 years of Active Directory account creation and maintenance
  • Excellent communications skills in person, verbally and in writing
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Must be able to professionally interface with team members and civilians at all levels of the organization
  • CompTIA A+ certification preferred
  • Active Top-Secret clearance with ability to obtain an SCI
