Jon & Vinny's Fairfax, our original location, is known for exceptional food and warm hospitality. We're seeking a passionate Beverage Manager to join our team and enhance our guest experience.
Position Overview: The Beverage Manager will oversee beverage service and operations, manage costs, maintain inventory, ensure a positive work environment, and create a welcoming atmosphere for guests. This role involves working with the wine director to curate our beverage program and achieve sales goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Add positive energy to daily operations.
- Assist in hiring front-of-house staff.
- Manage costs, labor, and scheduling.
- Develop knowledge of financial aspects (PCL, Petty Cash, Inventory).
- Communicate daily challenges and problem-solve.
- Ensure high guest satisfaction and build guest relationships.
Beverage-Specific Responsibilities:
- Complete weekly beverage inventory and enter invoices.
- Collaborate on the beverage program and cultivate rep relationships.
- Train on ordering and organizing wine deliveries.
- Maintain shop cleanliness and update BTG Wines.
- Hire, train, and schedule the wine team.
- Drive sales and lead staff education.
- Track and update 86'd wines.
- Order beverage-related items and oversee the coffee program.
Qualifications:
- Experience in beverage management, preferably in a high-volume restaurant.
- Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, and coffee.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for hospitality and guest satisfaction.
