Grassroots Wine Wholesalers is seeking an organized, motivated, and people-oriented sales representative for a greater Birmingham/ Tuscaloosa territory. Founded in 2003, Grassroots Wine has grown one of the finest portfolios of wine available in the Country's most exciting markets. Requirements and QualificationsALL Working wine knowledge and experience in food and beverage – minimum 2 years required• Prior sales experience working in wholesale distribution is preferred• Goal-oriented, strong sense of personal integrity, positive attitude, and a love of learning• Professional and self-motivated with the ability to work and thrive independently• Excellent communication, organization, and people skills• Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks efficiently and effectively• Computer experience necessary, utilizing all tools within Microsoft Office, Google Drive• Valid driver's license, automobile insurance, and reliable transportation• Must be able to lift 40 lbsDuties and Responsibilities• Cultivate relationships with customers via in-person visits/wine presentations and phone/email correspondence• Develop expertise of Grassroots' portfolio of wines• Develop new accounts and ensures the sustainable growth of existing accounts within assigned geographical territory• Work with customers to design, maintain and update restaurant wine lists or retail placements to feature our products• Conduct staff trainings and tastings at customer accounts as needed• Handle all customer inquiries and issues in a timely and efficient manner• Works in conjunction with sales manager to facilitate sales opportunities• Participate in market work assignments with visiting winery suppliers• Participate in sales meetings, various trade and consumer tasting events• Maintain and update sales route lists/contact informationBenefits:• Health insurance• Auto and other allowances• Paid time offCompensation:• CommissionJob Type: Full-timePay: Starting $45,000-$50,000 per yearWork Location: On the roadJob category: Sales and Marketing
