Job Title: Elevage Wine Company - Sales RepresentativeDepartment: SalesReports To: General ManagerAbout Us:Elevage Wine Company is a new distributor representing the unification of Rosenthal Wine Merchant, The Rare Wine Co., Diamond Wine Importers, and select domestic producers.Summary:We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Wine Sales Representative to join our team in Southern California based out of the LA metro area. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of wine and the southern California wine market. In this role, you will be responsible for growing new business and maintaining existing relationships, promoting and selling our portfolio of wines, while achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.Responsibilities:Cultivate and maintain relationships with key accounts in the assigned territoryPromote and sell the company's portfolio of wines to retailers, restaurants, and other businessesAchieve sales targets and lean on current and historical data to make informed decisions and future projectionsEducate customers about wine and provide product recommendationsConduct wine tastings and eventsReport to sales manager on sales performance and customer feedbackRequirements:2+ years of experience of general wine salesStrong knowledge of European as as well as Domestic wineFamiliarity with the southern California wine market - existing trade relationships are a plusHigh level sales and EQ skills with experience in closing your own dealsDetail oriented and a capacity to make informed decisions based on dataAbility to build new relationships while maintaining existing relationshipsStrategic mindset - “proactive not reactive”Ability to work independently in an organized fashion and as part of a teamValid driver's licenseCompensation and Benefits:Annual base compensation of $65,000 - $75,000 with commission and bonus opportunities.
