Saddlehill Cellars is seeking a dedicated Wine Tender to join our winery, available for both part-time and full-time positions. DAY-TO-DAY OF A WINE TENDER As a Wine Tender at our winery, you keep the wine bar pristine, stocked, and ready for service. You expertly manage orders, serve perfect pours, and follow proper procedures. You share detailed insights about our wines, including tasting notes, pairings, regions, and production methods. You make personalized recommendations, discuss club options, wine flights, and special events, and describe dishes with ideal pairings. Responsibilities include checking IDs, operating the POS system, and handling transactions accurately. You maintain bar cleanliness, stock glasses and wines, and complete assigned side work. You support the customer service team to ensure a seamless experience for all guests. YOUR SCHEDULE This customer service position at our vineyard offers part-time and full-time shifts from Wednesday through Sunday, 11:30 am to 9:00 pm. We serve lunch and dinner six days a week, with Mondays closed. Shifts include weekends, days, and evenings, providing flexibility for a variety of availability. REQUIREMENTS
- Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex information about wines in an approachable and engaging manner
- Exceptional customer service skills, with a friendly and helpful attitude toward customers
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and verbal communication in English.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Flexibility to work various shifts and days of the week, including holidays and weekends
- Passionate and knowledgeable about wine
- Reliable transportation and punctuality
- TIPS Certification
- Experience in a full-service restaurant, wine bar, or tasting room (preferred)
