Aircraft Assembly MechanicJob Summary An aircraft assembly mechanic puts together and installs free fabricated aircraft parts to manufacture fixed wing aircraft or aircraft sub-assemblies according to detailed engineering specifications. The Aircraft Assembler must read and interpret aircraft assembly diagram; then The Aircraft Assembler must assemble and fit prefabricated parts to form sub- assemblies, working at benches or directly on an aircraft structure. The Aircraft Assembler assembles fits and installs prefabricated parts and sub – assemblies such as aircraft skins, flight controls, reading, hydraulics and other mechanical systems. - Maintain the shop in a clean and organized manner
- The Aircraft Assembler puts together and installs prefabricated aircraft parts.
- The Aircraft Assembler must be capable of following detailed engineering specifications.
- The Aircraft Assembler inspects each job upon completion to make sure that it is completed in accordance to specifications.
- Performs assigned tasks with minimal supervision
- Performs routine support equipment inspections and maintains and performs necessary corrective actions to include unscheduled maintenance
- Operates assigned aerospace ground support equipment as required.
- Selects appropriate tools and equipment required to complete assignments
- Complies with all company, OSHA and customer safety regulations
- Follows all safety procedures and practices as established by the Company
- Repairs, reworks and replace components or parts to ensure proper operation
- Assure that all required forms and documents are properly filled in and signed after maintenance work completion

Requirements
- Must have own tools
- Ability to remain calm, cool, and collected in stressful situations
- Ability to be patient and objective in difficult situations with different types of people
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal direction
- Three to five years' experience in aircraft assembly preferred
- Ability to read, write, and understand the English language and to follow verbal and written instruction
