What you'll do:
Viasat is seeking its next Wiring Integration Technician! If you have skills in this area, then this job may be for you! This role will focus primarily on building and wiring large industrial controllers, indoor racks, and cabling up antenna systems. Some of the work takes place outdoors and requires working up to heights of 100 feet.
The day-to-day:
The Wiring/Integration Technician will:
- Have experience assembling electrical and mechanical assemblies.
- Possess skills in routing cables and point-to-point wiring.
- Read and understand mechanical assembly drawings and schematics.
- Work with a variety of mechanical hand tools, crimps, and soldering. Testing includes the use of a digital volt meter
What you'll need:
- 2+ years mechanical and wiring experience with assemblies using mechanical tools, crimp tools, and drills.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Familiar with high-power voltage.
- Ability to follow instructions and read fabrication drawings and schematics.
- Ability to drive and operate a forklift, given proper training and instruction
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work at heights up to 100 feet
- Ability to work onsite in Duluth, GA.
- US government position. US Citizenship is required.
- Up to 10% domestic travel.
What will help you on the job:
- An ability to interpret mechanical drawings and schematics
- Experience operating light machinery, i.e. forklifts and aerial lifts
- Ability to work on documentation and procedures
- Comfortable with heights (up to 100ft)
- IPC Certification
Salary range:$21.06 - $35.34 / hourly :At Viasat, we consider many factors when it comes to compensation, including the scope of the position as well as your background and experience. Base pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
