*Part-time seasonal positions available.Position Title: Wispers Restaurant Host Level 1 Department: Food & BeverageReports To: Front of House Supervisor, or Bar/Restaurant ManagerStatus: Full-time Seasonal or Part-time Seasonal, Hourly (Non-Exempt)Working Hours: Varied hours/shifts, fluctuates with time of season, weekends and holidays typicalWage: $17.00 per hour Benefits: Maryland Accrued Sick time/401k/Recreational PrivilegesPosition Summary: Supervises and coordinates the operations within the dining room. Ensures that the meals and beverages provided by the restaurant are served in the most welcoming manner.Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Wisp Resort is a four-season ski, golf and recreational destination resort. Because of the nature of the resort business, employees may be asked to perform other duties outside of the job description. Also, hours of operation are 24/7 including weekends and holidays.Specific Duties & Responsibilities: Level 1 - NE01 • Greeting guests upon entrance and escorting them to the appropriate table and ensures the guests that the server will be with them promptly.• Informs server of special occasion in their station.• Makes sure all menus are well wiped, are free of stains or spots and are complete.• Ensuring that entry doors are hygienic free from debris and welcoming.• Checking and coordinating all reservations.• Coordinates with manager and kitchen to ensure smooth flow for guests.• Saying goodbye to guests and enquiring from them about the quality of services provided. This also involves checking with the guests to record any problem experienced.• Exhibits a passion for working with guests, team work and working well under pressure, well-groomed at all times, excellent organizational and public speaking skills. • Responsible for food service fluidity and environmental aesthetics through a constant watch of tables, interiors and plating in a restaurant setup.• Responsible for lightening the load of all wait staff, when the area is experiencing an influx of service requests by processing payment, maintaining the quality of food service, order taking and plating for each table.• Exhibits excellent communication skills, especially with answering guest questions about menu, Resort history, food standards and interior.• Exhibits ability to multi-task, prioritize and work with limited supervision in a team environment.Qualifications:Successful execution of this job requires an individual to satisfactorily perform each essential duty.
