Our dedicated team provides personalized care to ensure an environment that allows healing for anyone who walks through our doors.We are searching for a dynamic individual to become our unit's Withdrawal Management Specialist (full-time). This position assists in coordinating and monitoring patient activities and day-to-day operations of the assigned withdrawal management unit during the assigned shift. All applicants must undergo pre-employment drug screening, which includes testing for marijuana, as well as background checks.The candidate must be able to work the second shift (4 pm to 12 midnight) and the graveyard shift (12 midnight to 8 am). ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following and other duties that may be assigned. Takes vital signs as required (we provide training). Conduct intake screens and assess potential patients. Obtains pertinent information regarding patient drug/alcohol use, medical and social history, and patient needs.Provides information to the agency physician regarding medical issues and medication clearance and monitors medication according to operating policy and physician's directions.Provides case management services to all patients enrolled in the withdrawal management program. Conducts individual and group sessions. Completes necessary paperwork. Monitors patients throughout the shift. Assists in medical/mental health treatment referrals and informs supervisor of all incidents beyond the scope of the typical withdrawal management unit.Verify the accuracy of monitoring reports.QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS: Education: Minimum of HS diploma or GED. An AA or BA degree in human service or related is preferred. Current Certify Addiction Technician (CAT) or ability to obtain CAT within 18 months of hire date required.Experience: Prior experience with substance abuse providing direct patient care, assessment, triage, crisis intervention, and group counseling. Other: Solid communication skills and basic computer skills are required. CPR and First-Aid certification. (The agency pays for initial training and renewals).
