PAY RANGE $80,000.00 TO $92,500.00 Annually based on experienceThe Inventory Control and Logistics Supervisor is an essential position that oversees functional areas of the warehouse such as Shipping, Receiving, Picking, Packing, Replenishment, Inventory Control, Returns, Sorting, among others to ensure timely and accurate receipt of inventory, timely and accurate delivery of inventory to assembly and fabrication areas, accurate picking and packing of product sales/machines, and overseeing the verification and record keeping of outgoing shipments to customers and outside processing.Ensures proper packing procedures for all outbound shipments and provides direction to warehouse associates.The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and possess a high level of analytical and problem-solving skills as it relates to inventory accuracy and the impact on the overall business.Education and Experience:Bachelors/Associates degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, related field, or equivalent experience; preferred5 years of experience in distribution, logistics, manufacturing, and inventory management.Experienced in S&OP business processesLean Manufacturing/Business excellence experienceMinimum 3 years of experience managing a team of direct reports.Machine Shop experience is preferredAPICS - CSCP or CPIM a plusKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities: (These are things the candidate should possess prior to being hired, i.e., computer skills) Knowledge of production and information flow concepts.Understanding of component parts including an understanding of engineering specificationsKnowledge of reading engineering blueprintsAbility to reason mathematically using methods/formulas to problem solveAbility to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternate solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problemsAbility to work in a team environmentSound analytical, planning, multi-tasking, organization, coordination & problem-solving skillsExcellent organizational skills, ability to balance immediate and long-term priorities and exceptional multi-tasking skillsExcellent customer service and communication skills (verbal and written)Intermediate to Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPointWorking knowledge of ERP and MRP systemsSelf-starter with ability to work independently under pressure and react quickly to changing prioritiesDuties and Responsibilities: (List the essential functions of the position, i.e., what incumbent is required to do, not how it is done)Lead Inventory and Logistics operations with a daily focus on SafetyAnticipate and resolve logistics capacity and material shortage problems in a timely manner. Communicate via Daily Production Meeting and S&OP executive meeting.Accountable to develop, delegate, track and maintain the inventory & logistics KPIs including daily/weekly team standup and Action Plan reviews.Monitor Machine Project Plan critical path and build order workflow to ensure on-time delivery for assembly to meet customer FAT deadlines.Monitor Sales performance to allocate resources as needed for the proper picking and shipping of orders.Coordinate with planning, materials, production, manufacturing, and assembly staff in the development of +24 hrs. production plans at daily production meeting.Collaborate with Supervisors and Managers to develop potential solutions to improve daily logistics performance during SQDCPM daily management meetings.Attend T3 Daily Management meeting and drive team accountability over short term action plans.Accountable for the proper receiving, picking, handling, staging, and shipping of Fabrication raw materials, assembly components, outside processing volume (OSP), machines and sales orders.Evaluate internal inventory & logistics capacity to properly allocate resources that aim to meet internal/external customer expectations.Develop strategies for inventory and logistics systems that improve factory lead time, transactions accuracy and internal process capabilities.Analyze and adjust Inventory levels and parameters such as turns, safety stock levels, Kanban levels, mix, QOH, obsolescence, total value, and others as applicable.Perform cycle countsResponsible for training, coaching and developing the materials and planning group via performance management and sound leadership principles.May perform other duties as assigned.Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
