An outpatient clinic in New York City is currently seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) and/or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join their growing Women's Health team in Manhattan and Queens. The candidate would have to work out of both locations. This is a great opportunity to get in with a growing company that offers a state of the art facility and room for growth! Responsibilities: The Women's Health NP / FNP will:
- Perform routine well-woman exams and use these exams to screen for conditions such as cervical cancer and breast abnormalities
- Provide family planning services, including prescribing and fitting contraceptive methods, offering counseling on family planning options, and educating women about birth control choices
- Provide prenatal care to pregnant women
- Diagnose and treat various gynecological conditions, including menstrual disorders, urinary tract infections, and sexually transmitted infections
- Manage the physical and emotional changes that come with menopause
- Educate women about breast health and conduct breast exams to detect abnormalities
- Provide counseling and education on various health topics, including nutrition, exercise, stress management, and emotional well-being
- Prescribe medications, including contraceptives, hormone replacement therapy, and medications for gynecological conditions
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of related work experience
- Bachelor's Degree
- Active NYS Nurse Practitioner (NP) and/or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) license
- Solid charting and documentation skills
- Patient oriented
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
