Job Description:

Trustpoint is excited to partner with a New Jersey law firm in their search of a Word Processor on a direct hire basis. This onsite role will be based out of the firm's Newark office and will act as the first point of contact for users seeking word processing assistance and/or document problem resolution. Successful candidates will have 7+ years of experience with word processing in a legal environment, preferably in litigation, and exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities:

  • Document production and editing utilizing Windows 10, Office 2016, Office 365, iManage, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook, Nuance PDF Converter, Adobe Acrobat, Kofax, Best Authority, Westlaw, Lexis, Aderant, and similar software
  • Assist with applications upgrade testing and recommendations
  • Assist with document conversion and clean up; produce and revise complex legal documents adhering to Firm s styles and guidelines
  • User support and customer service; providing technical assistance via e-mail, phone helpdesk, ticketing system and in-person
  • Printing of complex documents
  • Facilitating the creation/editing of Table of Authorities and Table of Contents Best Authority; hyperlinking utilizing Westlaw and LexisNexis; bookmarking
  • Data entry using various software applications and transcripts of analog or digital dictation (BigHand)
  • Perform duties of department secretary when requested or required by department operations

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of relevant experience within a law firm, litigation experience preferred
  • Advanced usage of technology and applicable software for word processing, dictation, transcription, etc.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a high attention to detail
  • Advanced knowledge and usage of formatting complex legal documents
  • Knowledge and competence in E-Filing in both Federal and State Courts in NJ and NY
  • Knowledge and competence for in-person and virtual notarization
  • All candidates must be able to work at a computer screen for a sustained amount of time
