Overview:

Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PHNSY&IMF) is actively establishing a detachment in Guam (NAVSHIPYD & IMF DET GUAM). This key industrial site supports a broad spectrum of naval vessel/submarine maintenance, overhaul, and repair activities. The purpose of this contract is to provide project planning, execution and support services in Code 200, Engineering and Planning Department (EPD), and other support departments to support ship systems maintenance, repair and testing during availabilities at NAVSHIPYD & IMF DET GUAM. Strategic Technology Institute, Inc. (STi) is seeking a seasoned Work Control Specialist/Technician to ensure efficient and effective work execution. This role is central to our operations, focusing on non-nuclear work packaging and control processes to support the maintenance, overhaul, and repair of U.S. Navy vessels. This individual would also assist with the overall support of project planning/management/testing, estimating, and specification writing for critical U.S. Navy ship systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of non-nuclear work packaging and control processes.
  • Review task packages upon completion to ensure all standards are met.
  • Package, assemble, release, and certify Task Group Instructions (TGIs) and Job Orders (JOs) for the work execution phase.
  • Compile and coordinate the packaging of TGIs and JOs, assembling work documentation and ensuring that materials and special tools or equipment are ready for issue.
  • Meet schedules and delivery deadlines, ensuring all components are available as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Secret Security Clearance
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in work packaging and naval control processes.
  • Demonstrated experience in project planning/management/testing, estimating, and specification writing for naval ship systems including Mechanical, Structural, Electrical, and Combat systems.
  • Knowledge of SUBSAFE, DSS-SOC, FBW SCS, and/or Level 1 requirements.
  • Proven ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
