As an instructor, you will play a crucial role in equipping participants with essential job readiness skills and fostering their confidence to enter or re-enter the workforce.The Instructor will lead comprehensive job readiness workshops, life skills classes, and job training classes, focusing on essential hard and soft skills required for successful employment. This role involves enhancing, developing, and implementing curriculum that accommodates participant and community needs and aligns with the Agency's mission and funding requirements.What will you do in this job?
- Design and facilitate a variety of job readiness and technology-use workshops tailored to meet the needs of diverse learners and the requirements of funding contracts.
- Teach classes that cover various aspects of job readiness, including resume writing, cover letter preparation, interview techniques, and workplace culture understanding.
- Network with community and business leaders to create a connection between job seekers and employers and identify partners to serve as guest speakers.
- Provide guidance and individual support to assist job seekers in setting career goals and developing strategies for achieving them.
- Monitor, track, and record accurate attendance and participation records.
Compensation and BenefitsStarting rate: $20 per hour followed by eligibility for annual performance-based increases with maximum pay of $23.62. Highest pay as a result of ongoing good performance and years of service.

Enrollment eligibility following one year of service and have worked 1,000 hours in the first year or any calendar year thereafter, or 500-1000 hours each year for three consecutive years.
Work ScheduleFull-time, hourly position.
