Job Description:

The One-Stop & Advising Center Office Assistant position is responsible for assisting the Advising and One-Stop team with supportive tasks and providing excellent customer service to students, faculty, staff, and community members. Much of this role involves understanding the new student onboarding and advising processes, and effectively guiding students through these processes.Provide excellent customer service to students, faculty, staff, and community members.

Assist students with the new student onboarding process, navigating registration, financial aid, New Student Advising, andother new student onboarding tasks.

Triage student inquiries in the One-Stop Center Zoom room and at the reception desk

Guide students through self-service online tools such as ctcLink and Navigate.

Assist the One-Stop and Advising Center staff with scheduling appointments and maintaining timely communication with students by checking voicemails, emails, participating in calling campaigns.

Create student parking passes, ID cards, and employee ID cards

Perform general office tasks including retrieving transcripts, inputting data, answering phones, scheduling appointments, distributing mail, and more.Excellent customer service skills.

Ability to work independently and effectively problem-solve student issues, with a willingness to learn and adapt.

Comfortable working with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Office applications.

Ability to work with diverse populations.

Ability to maintain professionalism via all forms of communication.
