Job Summary

This part-time work study position (max of 19.5 hours per week) assists with office management, home athletics and events overseen by the Department of Athletics.

Responsibilities

* Mail distribution

* Daily check and cash reconciliation

* Preparing and Serving Food Items.

* Handle cash and credit card purchases.

* Manage tickets during home contest.

* Assist in stocking and managing concessions inventory.

* Assist with move, set-up and take-down of equipment as needed for various events.

* Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of concessions and department equipment.

* Perform basic custodial tasks, such as sweep floors, mop spills, remove trash, and replace trash can liners.

Required Qualifications

Knowledge of proper food handling and preparation. Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with a diverse range of people. Proven ability to work as a team member. A strong customer service orientation while providing helpful and friendly approach to serving the campus community. Ability to make proper cash and credit card transactions

* Must qualify for federal work study financial aid program.

* Must be available to work nights and weekends.

* Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

* Food service experience.

* Time management.

* Must be able to handle food products safely.

* Must be able to use appropriate cleaning chemicals safely.

* Must be able to perform physical labor; move and use equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.

* Must comply with best practices for safety precaution.

* Must wear appropriate safety gear and clothing while working as required.

* Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and be able to physically tolerate some bending.

* Must be able to work self-sufficiently with minimal or no supervision.
