Client Overview:

Vernovis is partnering with a client that is midway through a Workday implementation, focused on Finance, HCM, and Payroll modules. This critical project aims to go live in June next year, and the client is seeking an expert Workday Report Writer to support their efforts.

What You'll Do:

• Build advanced and complex Workday reports to meet operational and data validation needs.
• Translate existing Cognos reports (SQL and PL/SQL) into Workday reports while ensuring accuracy and alignment with Workday capabilities.
• Collaborate with functional leads to refine and iterate on reports, adapting to evolving requirements with limited initial specifications.
• Support the team in learning Workday's reporting functionality and provide solutions to challenges as they arise during implementation.
• Act as an analyst between business requirements and Workday technical reporting, ensuring deliverables meet client expectations.

What Experience You'll Have:

• Advanced Workday Reporting Skills: Proven expertise in building reports, with a focus on Finance (budgets, financial accounting, projects).
• Higher Education Experience: Familiarity with reporting and operational needs in a university environment.
• Technical Proficiency: Experience with SQL and PL/SQL, including translating Cognos reports into Workday; familiarity with Banner and ODS headers is a plus.
• Independent Problem-Solving: Ability to work with minimal supervision, interpreting broad requirements and delivering high-quality results.

What Experience is Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with other Workday modules, such as Payroll and HCM.
• Experience in small, cross-functional teams where team members wear multiple hats.
