Additional Cement Plant Job Responsibilities
* Shovels, wheelbarrow, hand tools, compressed air equipment, small mobile equipment (such as Bobcats and vac trucks), heavy equipment, radios, and personal protective equipment (PPE), and any other tools or equipment required.
* Ensure compliance with all posted and required MSHA and Company Safety Policies and a commitment to providing a safe environment for themselves, co-workers and visitors to the facility. This includes reporting any potential hazards to management immediately and, when possible, correcting or isolating the risk.
* Ensure compliance with all posted and required environmental policies, immediately reporting any issues and providing support to resolve the issue.
* Clean up work, using shoves, wheelbarrows, compressed air tools, and heavy equipment to clear out debris and spillage to ensure a safe working environment and plant reliability.
* Assists other job classifications and plant outages as needed.
* Responds to reasonable callouts or overtime as needed.
* Lubricate & oil equipment as needed.
* Painting, shoveling, sweeping and removing debris from jobs.
* Vacation relief for other positions as needed.
* Trains other employees as needed.
* Attends and participates in department and team meetings and training classes.
* Assists on alternative fuels systems as needed.
* Troubleshoot issues and identify the source of any safety, environmental or mechanical issue and report to management.
* Any other assignments required by Plant Management.

Job Summary
To work under supervision to perform a variety of strenuous unskilled and semi-skilled tasks.
Job Responsibilities
* Digging, excavating, trenching, and backfilling
* Keeping facility clean and organized
* Building forms and stripping forms
* Mixing and pouring concrete and castables
* Performing or assisting with minor maintenance and repairs
* Assist in performance of clean-up prior and after maintenance work
* Adhere to all CEMEX and O.S.H.A. rules and regulations at all times and wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds
* Meet or exceed company safety standards
* Perform other job responsibilities as assigned by management
Qualifications
* Be able to read, write, and speak English
* High school preferred
* Bilingual a plus

Working Conditions
* Continuous exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold, extreme noise, and working outdoors
* Must wear protective equipment while at the location
Physical Requirements
* Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree
* Heavy Work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds or force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, in order to communicate to employees/visitors as well as function safely around heavy rolling equipment
* Must be able to perform all job functions which include, but may not be limited to, pushing, turning, and/or pulling of controls
* Must pass DOT physical to include back x-ray, hearing test and drug/alcohol screen
