Job Description: A respected law firm is seeking an experienced Workers' Compensation Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will have a proven background in handling workers' compensation defense cases, representing employers, insurers, and third-party administrators. The position offers an opportunity to manage a full caseload of workers' compensation matters while working in a supportive, client-focused environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Defend employers and insurers in workers' compensation cases, including litigation, mediation, and settlements.
- Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents related to workers' compensation claims.
- Conduct depositions, medical record reviews, and discovery.
- Attend hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings to represent clients.
- Provide legal counsel and advice to clients regarding risk management, settlement evaluations, and compliance with state laws.
- Maintain ongoing communication with clients, adjusters, and opposing counsel to ensure successful case outcomes.
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school in Alabama.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in workers' compensation defense.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of Alabama workers' compensation law.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and advocacy skills.
- Ability to manage a high-volume caseload and work effectively within a team environment.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to resolve cases efficiently.
