Job Summary:

The In-House Workers' Compensation Adjuster will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of workers' compensation claims for our nursing home staff. This role involves evaluating claims, facilitating communication between all parties, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company policies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of workers' compensation processes, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to supporting our staff.

Salary Range: $70k-$80k DOE

Key Responsibilities:

- Claim Management: Review, investigate, and process workers' compensation claims from initiation to resolution, ensuring timely and accurate claim handling.

- Communication: Act as a liaison between injured employees, healthcare providers, insurance companies, and legal representatives to facilitate effective communication and resolution of claims.

- Compliance: Ensure compliance with state and federal workers' compensation regulations and company policies, maintaining accurate records and documentation for all claims.

- Risk Management: Collaborate with the HR and safety teams to identify potential workplace hazards, analyze injury trends, and implement strategies to minimize risks.

- Reporting: Prepare and present reports on claims status, trends, and recommendations to management, including metrics on claim outcomes and safety improvements.

- Education and Training: Provide training and guidance to staff on workers' compensation processes, reporting procedures, and workplace safety practices.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Risk Management, or a related field.

- Minimum of 2-4 years' experience in workers' compensation claims adjusting, preferably in a healthcare or nursing home setting.

- Strong knowledge of workers' compensation laws and regulations.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.

- Proficient in claims management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
