Under the general direction of the Workers' Compensation Manager (WCM) for the Information Services Center (Call Center), the Workers' Compensation Consultant (WCC) assists parties, whether or not represented by counsel, by providing English and Spanish-speaking general public information concerning workers' compensation benefits and procedures.

The WCC is a permanent, full-time position working under the supervision of the WCM but may receive assignments from the Supervising Workers' Compensation Consultant.

This is a bilingual-Spanish position. The incumbent must be able to pass a bilingual-Spanish fluency examination.

The Staff Services Analyst classification is being appropriated for this position. If you have list eligibility as a Staff Services Analyst, it will be used to hire you as a Workers' Compensation Assistant. Candidates with Staff Services Analyst eligibility must meet the minimum qualifications for both Staff Services Analyst and Workers' Compensation Assistant.

This position is located at:464 W. 4th Street, #360 San Bernardino, CA 92401

The DWC Call Center is easily accessible from the 215, 210 and 10 freeways and close to the historic Molly's Cafe, Inland Center Mall, Starbucks, Panda Express and In and Out restaurants. Telework is available two days per week and parking is $15.00 per month. The WCC works 40 hours per week in a smoke-free, air conditioned office located in a high-rise building with elevator access, natural and artificial lighting, equipped with cubicle, computer and other office equipment including a cloud based phone system. The WCC is required to attend meetings in designated conference rooms and be willing to travel for off-site trainings, work in a team environment and independently.
