Round Hill Search seeks a skilled and proactive Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney to join a successful defense firm in Downtown Los Angeles. In this role, you will be responsible for defending clients in workers' compensation cases, providing strategic legal counsel, and ensuring favorable outcomes for our clients.
Responsibilities
Provide legal representation to employers and insurance companies in workers' compensation cases, including defending against claims for occupational injuries, illnesses, and disabilities.Conduct thorough investigations into the facts and circumstances of each case, gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and reviewing medical records.Prepare and file legal documents, including responses to claims, motions, and appeals, with the appropriate administrative agencies and courts.Represent clients in administrative hearings, mediation sessions, and court proceedings, presenting compelling arguments and examining witnesses.Negotiate settlements with claimants and their attorneys to resolve cases efficiently and cost-effectively.Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates on case developments, discuss strategies, and address their concerns.Stay informed about changes in workers' compensation laws and regulations, and apply this knowledge to effectively defend clients.Collaborate with other members of the legal team, including paralegals and support staff, to ensure effective case management and client representation.Qualifications
Juris Doctor degree and active bar membership in California.Two (2)+ years of experience practicing workers' compensation defense law.Strong litigation skills, including experience representing clients in administrative hearings and court proceedings.Excellent communication and negotiation skills.Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively.Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Compassionate and empathetic demeanor, with a commitment to providing quality legal representation.Proficiency in legal research and writing.Salary
$80,000 - $120,000, commensurate with your experience and qualifications.
