No matter where you want to go in your career, you can get there from here!Position Title Workforce Completion Specialist (Pool) FLSA Non-Exempt FT/PT Part Time Hours Per Week Up to 25 hours Work Schedule Varies depending on department needs Position Salary Range $35/hr General ResponsibilitiesWorkforce Completion Specialists work in the Workforce Development unit of the Division of Workforce, Career & Community Education by implementing the college's strategic plans related to academic standing and student completion.Work PerformedWorkforce Completion Specialists are embedded within success of the Workforce Development programs. Workforce Completion Specialists are expected to monitor notifications for their assigned courses, work with students in academic jeopardy, refer students to appropriate support services, and provide knowledge about academic success skills.Minimum Education Required Associate's degree Minimum Number of Years Experience Required 2 Other Knowledge Required* Associate's degree required. Bachelor's degree preferred, preferably in higher education, student affairs, counseling, social work, or workforce development programming.* Experience working in advising, retention, or counseling within a college setting, community college experience preferred* Knowledge of current student success strategies* Experience working with diverse populations* Ability to prepare, compile, write and review reports* Excellent computer skillsWorking ConditionsWorkforce Completion Specialist position is grant funded and will work 25 hours per week. May work evening, weekend and have extended hours during peak periods. Extensive follow-up work, database use, responding to inquiries, meetings, etc. Ability to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility required.Regular attendance and an ability to work mornings, evenings and/or weekends consistent with college needs.Criminal background check.Performs all duties while considering the impact of any actions on the college's sustainability initiatives in the areas of environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and economic prosperity.Division Workforce, Career, and Community Education (Div) Department Continuing Education
