Project Overview: Bechtel is partnering with NextDecade to help their vision to provide the world access to lower carbon intensive energy with their Rio Grande LNG (RGLNG) project in Brownsville, Texas. RGLNG is a natural gas liquefaction and export terminal situated on a 984-acre site on the banks of the Brownsville ship channel. The first phase of the RGLNG project consists of three liquefaction trains, two storage tanks and one marine berth. At full capacity, the five-train facility will have a production capacity of 27 million tonnes per annum (MTPA). Project Location Overview: Brownsville, Texas is a city known for its diverse history, tradition, and rich culture. Located in the southernmost region in the beautiful state of Texas, lays Brownsville a rich, tropical oasis bordering the Rio Grande River and near the shores of the Gulf of Mexico. Job Summary: In this role, you will support and help assist project training programs including craft skill upgrading, heavy equipment training and competency testing, and power tool evaluation. You will assist with staff training, coordination with project supervision, ensure records are kept updated, and prepare reports on the training programs. Your efforts and attention to detail will contribute to ensuring a smooth and effective training and upskilling process.#LI-TH1 Major Responsibilities: Coordinates power tool skill verification program including supervision of assessors, assistting the program schedule, maintaining accurate records, and producing reports Coordinates craft skills upgrading program, including supervision of assessors and trainers, assisting the program schedule, ensuring availability to tool and equipment, and maintaining accurate records Monitors orientation intake to develop strategies for program implementation during peak hiring periods Steps in as an instructor/evaluator as the need arises Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities Education and Experience Requirements: Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience Required Knowledge and Skills: Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Understands terminology related to craft skill sets. Prior work experience in industrial craft training, and/or working in the craft as a supervisor.
