Come be a part of what makes us so special!The OpportunityAs a dedicated Workforce Planning Analyst Senior, you will prepare business-related analyses and research in one or more of the following areas: workforce planning, monthly workforce forecasting, and hiring/separation trends. Provides analytical support for key decision-makers in setting business goals, objectives, strategies, and action plans. Defines problems and identifies opportunities enhance operational effectiveness as it relates to workforce planning.We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position will be based in the following location: San Antonio, TX.Relocation assistance is not available for this position.What you'll do:* Utilizes advanced workforce planning process knowledge of workforce planning to maintain strong internal customer relationships with key POC's and business leaders to define and advise strategic workforce objectives.* Facilitates workforce planning process and continuously assesses current procedures and provides recommendations to improve and assist in optimizing process execution.* Applies and integrates advanced and predictive analysis, workforce metrics and reporting to develop strategic and operational insights for workforce decision-making to include sharing insights and recommendations with the team for potential enterprise application.* Performs advanced analysis of relevant workforce metrics to uncover and articulate trends in the data; forecast and quantify the workforce gaps, risks, and opportunities to support each functional unit's workforce strategy.* Leverages existing workforce technology platforms for facilitation of workforce planning process and provide technology recommendations for functionality gaps that will increase overall efficiency and accuracy of forecast results.* Responsible for purity and accuracy of the workforce forecast by validation of assumption inputs and assuring appropriate controls in place to mitigate risks.* Provides advanced-level Ad Hoc and Reporting Analysis to meet complex business requirements with little, to no guidance from management.* Develops, trains, and advises team regarding process activities.* Leverages analytics to forecast supply and demands for talent and modeling future scenarios to accurately identify and prioritize talent risks and opportunities, based on industry trends, economic conditions, and organizational transformation objectives.* Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.What you have:* Bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, Mathematics or related discipline; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.* 6 years of experience with data analysis tools and techniques, statistics, and industry data sources.* Experience in workforce planning/analytics, predictive modeling/forecasting, statistical methods, business consulting, project management, audit, or operational analysis.* Experience presenting and explaining complex information in a simple and user-friendly way.* Extensive experience working with multiple data sources and combining relevant information to generate insights from analyses.* Extensive experience in gathering, analyzing, and researching data to include workforce metrics and reporting and providing actionable insights.* Experience using Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).What sets you apart:* Experience working with Hyperion Planning.* Experience with supporting large matrixed organizations with workforce planning and analysis.* Strong communication (both verbal and presentational) in order to influence workforce strategy and obtain accurate workforce inputs.* Experience with data manipulation tools allowing the ability to create insights/analysis from large data sets.The above description reflects the details considered necessary to describe the principal functions of the job and should not be construed as a detailed description of all the work requirements that may be performed in the job.What we offer:Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location.
