Iowa Workforce Development is seeking applicants for the position of Workforce Program Coordinator.
Domicile will be determined based on the hired candidate's location at one of our IowaWorkscenters in Sioux City, Fort Dodge, or Council Bluffs, IA.
Job Description
As a Workforce Program Coordinator, you will conduct quarterly monitoring, quality assurance, file review and oversight activities as prescribed or as needed to ensure compliance with the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Title I program requirements from the U.S. DOL, State of Iowa policies, local policies and standard operating procedures regarding program delivery effectiveness, program integrity, and documentation of services.
Workforce Program Coordinator's complete monthly quality assurance reviews on all Title I enrollments for the local workforce development area and provide training and feedback as needed to Title I operations managers and Iowa Plains leadership. Ensure all participants training and supportive services are allowable under Title I regulations, state and local policies. Approve and track payments for all training activities and supportive services.
The successful candidate will maintain the Iowa Plains Title I budget. Tracks all training and support services expenditures, personnel and overhead costs. You will be the primary contact with Iowa Plains' fiscal agent and provide quarterly financial reports to the Executive Committee.
In this role you will become proficient with case management and report functions in our IowaWorks system and analyze data from system reports and provide guidance for process improvement and perform all duties as the Equal Employment Officer for Iowa Plains
Provide administrative support to the Executive Committee by preparing meeting agenda, take meeting notes and send correspondence to the Executive Committee.
Travel may be required to attend IWD training, meetings, and WIOA related conferences as requested. Delivers program information to American Job Centers leadership, SWDB and local boards/committees as requested.
Other duties are assigned to support the delivery of program services.

Conduct studies and analyze data related to workforce programs.

Minimum Qualification Requirements
Graduation from an accredited four year college or university and experience equaling three years of full-time work involving employment interviewing, counseling, management, program planning, or occupational, budget, or labor market analysis;
OR
an equivalent combination of education and experience substituting one year of qualifying experience for each year of the required education to a maximum of four years;
OR
an equivalent combination of education and experience substituting graduate level course work in business or public administration, economics, planning or closely related areas for experience on the basis of 30 semester hours for each year of required experience to a maximum of two years;
OR
current employees of the Iowa Workforce Development Department can qualify with two years of full-time work involving employment interviewing, counseling, management, program planning, or occupational, budget, or labor market analysis.
