  • Project Oversight: Manage all phases of commercial excavation projects, from initial site setup through final grade completion, including utility work and site preparation.
  • Team Leadership: Directly supervise and support field crews, ensuring efficient productivity and adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Equipment Coordination: Schedule and manage the operation of heavy equipment, including excavators, loaders, dozers, skid-steers, and graders.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all work aligns with Advantage Excavating's high standards and client specifications without compromising on safety or efficiency.
  • Client Communication: Serve as the main point of contact with clients, providing updates and maintaining positive relationships.
  • Problem Solving: Quickly assess and resolve any issues that arise on-site, coordinating with the owner and team to keep projects on track.
  • Safety Management: Enforce company safety protocols, conduct regular safety meetings, and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed project records, including daily reports, progress tracking, and incident logs.
The ideal candidate should possess:
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a supervisory role within commercial excavation, with extensive knowledge of heavy machine operation, excavation, grading, and utility installation.
  • Leadership Skills: 5+ years of proven experience leading and managing field crews, with a commitment to fostering a supportive team environment.
  • Technical Knowledge: Proficient in operating and overseeing the use of heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, dozers, skid-steers, and graders.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients, project managers, and team members.
  • Problem-Solving Ability: Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to changing project demands.
  • Certifications: OSHA certification is preferred; a valid driver's license and CDL are advantageous.
  • Physical Ability: Capable of working outdoors in various weather conditions and able to lift up to 50 lbs as required.
  • Compliance: Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Experience with Heavy Equipment machines over 100k lb is a must, NOT just forklifts and mini-machines.

Schedule:
  • Full-time
