Job Description:

Leidos QTC Health Services is hiring a Workplace Relations Advisor to handle employee relations activities and investigations support.

The Workplace Relations Advisor will serve as a trusted advisor to the HR Business Partners (HRBP). Independently review employee concerns and advise HR Business Partners on next steps, support background adjudication reviews in compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), provide guidance to other HRBPs regarding: Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), disciplinary actions and review of termination recommendations. Execute, manage or support a variety of other workplace relations functions and processes. This role reports to the HR Director.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Advise HRBPs and HR leadership on situational issues daily. Serve as a mentor/coach to HRBPs and leaders to help them build positive employee relations skills and approaches.
  • Key player in employee relations, ethics, and/or compliance investigations (initial interviews & fact gathering) while maintaining tracking for issues/concerns.
  • Build trusted advisor relationship with the HRBPs and with key stakeholders within the business, including with legal counsel, in order to create strong collaboration for driving results.
  • Develop and maintain close working relationships with Leidos Corporate Ethics and Workplace Relations teams
  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert decision maker regarding adverse pre-employment background reports; ensure compliance in the FCRA process.
  • Discerningly review Involuntary Term Requests to ensure documentation is thorough and accurate prior to submitting for legal review
  • Create & maintain clear and functional process documents when needed to assist the HRBP to be self-sufficient in performing functions involving workplace relations.
  • Respond to inquiries from legal to provide accurate details and documents timely.
  • Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence and Business/Operations groups to provide high-impact HR solutions.
  • Presentation experience in both preparation and presentation to individuals or groups; identify, coordinate and occasionally deliver trainings to HR and broader audiences on Workplace Relations updates or related topics.
  • Consistent application and understanding of Leidos QTC Health Services HR policies/procedures to mitigate risk and ensure equitable solutions
  • Other HR projects as assigned.

  • Process oriented thinker with ability to clearly articulate and train others to complete tasks.
  • Willingness to seek counsel when making workplace relations decisions and to freely collaborate in the decision making process with others for input or risk review.

Education and Experience: (includes certificate & licenses)

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field from an accredited college
  • Required - 10+ years of broad-based experience in HR, including employee relations and knowledge and understanding of ADA, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) laws, Affirmative Action, and conflict resolution
  • Working knowledge of applicable state and federal employment, and compliance requirements
  • Technically competent in Microsoft Office programs is required. Previous experience with HR management software is highly preferred.

Pay and Benefits:

Salary range - $120,000 - $150,000 w/ up to 9% bonus eligibility
