Program OverviewThe ReDefiners World Languages Internship Program is a dynamic and immersive opportunity for students completing a degree related to World Language Instruction. Students who work with ReDefiners are seeking to gain additional hands-on experience that often complements previous teaching experience.Prescribed Experience Goals:Conducting Classroom Observations to Identify Best Practices related to:

Implementing a Standards-Based & Thematically Organized Curriculum

Using the Target Language and Providing Comprehensible Input

Facilitating a Learner-Centered Classroom

Conducting Performance-Based Assessments

Integrating Culture, Content, and Language

Adapting and Using Age-Appropriate Authentic Materials

Participant Eligibility:

• A bachelor's degree in education or a related field
• Proficiency in the target language(s) to be taught (to be assessed during the interview process)
• Successful completion of a background check or clearance
• Proficiency with educational technology and software used in the classroom
• Sensitivity and awareness of diverse cultural backgrounds
• Availability during the program's scheduled hours (70% of the schedule available in the afternoon and evening)
