SUMMARY:Responsible for the coordination, administration and direction of all activities relating to the operations of the Park Rangers department, ensuring compliance with established policies, procedures and controls of the Resort.Pearl River Resort Associates are required, on a continual basis to...Adhere to any and all company and departmental policies, practices and procedures.Contribute to a safe work environment, through compliance with established safety guidelines, identifying potential safety hazards, and reporting same to the appropriate person for proper resolution.Maintain a professional departmental, company and community reputation.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
  • Welcomes customers to the park in a friendly, courteous manner.
  • Follow all rules, regulations, policies and procedures for the property area and assist in protecting and safeguarding all property assets.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Park Rangers; Asset security and providing a safe environment for guests and Associates.
  • Assume command in the absence of senior management based on approved guidelines.
  • Conduct investigations to obtain information and approve all detentions. Respond to emergencies and any serious accidents.
  • Responsible for scheduling the Park Ranger Department associates.
  • Train Security personnel in methods of detecting and apprehending suspicious patrons.
  • Oversee and maintain sensitive keys.
  • Cooperate with and coordinate requests for local law enforcement and emergency response agencies.
  • Ensure compliance to written policies and procedures affecting the Resort toward protection and safeguarding all property assets.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of facilities/outlets and special and upcoming events on property, in order to advise customers of same, whenever possible.
  • Leads by setting a positive example to all Associates.
  • Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training Associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining Associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Non - Gaming propertyEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:High School diploma or GED is required. Associates Degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; Six months to one year and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred. Must have a minimum of one (1) year of previous experience in casino security, law enforcement, and corrections, industrial or private security. Applicants providing a DD214 illustrating service with an honorable discharge from the Armed Forces will be considered to have met the minimum experience requirements. Must have a valid driver's license. Must successfully pass and have a clear background check.TESTING:Excel Test: No minimum score. Keyboarding: No minimum scoreSPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:Strong organizational and interpersonal skills required. Must be C.A.R.E. (Controlling Alcohol Risks Effectively) certified before starting to work. All candidates must successfully complete the class and obtain a test score of 84% or higher.LANGUAGE SKILLS:Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to write routine reports.REASONING ABILITY:Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an Associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Essential responsibilities include physical ability such as lift or maneuver at least eighty (80) pounds, and standing/walking 100% of the shift.Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, climb, reach, twist, and grip throughout shift.
