This is a role for a writer who is passionate about marketing, advertising and technology who can communicate that expertise into insights that are actionable for audiences. The newsletters, articles, guides, events and custom content created by the Media content team are the leading way audiences become exposed to EMARKETER's data and analysis. This role will research and write for all of those content areas, joining a team of analysts who all share a passion for marketing, commerce and technology.This is a hybrid role working from our New York City HQ at One Liberty Plaza two times a week.The Ideal Candidate is:
- A passionate journalist and writer who believes brevity, impact, evidence and insights are what sets a piece of content apart.
- A subject-matter expert on digital marketing, advertising, and martech developments who closely follows the evolution of the space.
- Organized, deadline-driven and endlessly curious about our coverage areas.
- An analytical researcher able to distill more than facts, but rather what the information means and why it truly matters to audiences.
- A problem solver and negotiator who understands clients' needs, especially for sponsored campaigns, and always figures out a way to make it work.
- Committed to fostering an inclusive culture and values a representative workplace that embraces diversity of thought and experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write newsletters, articles, white papers, SEO guides, and custom research reports.
- Build custom surveys and analyze data.
- Generate original ideas daily for articles, guides or sponsored content.
- Act as moderator for webinars based on custom content, or appear as subject-matter expert on podcast episodes.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Demonstrated experience in writing journalism, research and/or custom content.
- Experience in analytical writing, column writing, or newsletter writing.
- Experience juggling multiple projects ranging in complexity at once.
- Experience with AI tools, content marketing platforms, web analytics and content management systems.
Salary & Benefits:
- Salary: $75,000-$85,000 (dependent on skills & experience)
- Additional bonus/commission [if applicable]
